Things I have learnt through my children's education Part 2 Exercise

When I was at school we did PE - a lot. At least twice a week, plus matches. PE happens at school but less now. Physical exercise is important for a child's development (whether they are naturally sporty or not). Not only should we encourage our children to participate in school PE but we probably should encourage other forms of physical exercise too, especially given the more sedentary life-styles of today - more TV, computers, dvds, hours on phones etc. Try and get your child walking or cycling to school, taking exercise at the w\e - perhaps doing so as a family. A family walk in the woods can be fun, healthy and educational (look at and learn names of trees, birds, clouds and bugs...). Indoor play areas, gym or trampoline parties are a good modern development.Take physical exercise seriously for you and your child.
