What I learnt at Kerith Community Church

On Tuesday I took The Beacon church staff to meet The Kerith staff as part of a staff development day - it is good to see how others do things and to be stretched in your thinking. Otherwise we would continue to do things as we have always done. Kerith Community Church Bracknell is a great church. Inspiring. Vibrant meetings, compelling preaching, 100s of young people, large dedicated talented staff, ministries everywhere for everyone, a large building, 1,000 on a Sunday and a new site: Kerith Sandhurst to be launched in September. They also have a cracking leader in Simon Benham who I discovered today would quite like to be known as the Imagineer of Kerith not just the Senior Pastor (having had someone over from Disney at the w\e). Simon is a creative thinker with drive, passion and a unique set of organisational skills. Oh..and that elusive super-quality: anointing.
