Lessons from Kerith Bracknell (part 2)

Looking back on our Beacon staff morning at The Kerith Bracknell with Simon Benham and his team, these things have stayed with me:
  • Believe God for favour. (God has given Simon great favour - free office block, warehouse, respite house with 2 boats and a minibus...)
  • Dont just grow old together - hire young, creative staff.
  • Think about more than one Sunday meeting in more than one place...
  • How do you spend your time? What is most profitable?
  • Create a crisis in your organisation\church to stimulate creative energy and purpose.
  • Cultivate friendships outside of your setting.
  • Invest in Social Action projects; pick up the pieces in the community.
  • Kerith Bracknell has in excess of £100k per annum in grants - they have someone on applications.
  • Take the staff out more!
  • Good friends like Simon are priceless.
