It can't be outdone

Your mercy is new every morning
It is un fail able
Un fathomable
Un changeable
Un end able
Its liberating
Captivating
Life changing
Your Mercy, Your Mercy, Your Mercy
Its completely sufficient
Its sufficiently complete
It was sufficient for the Israelites
Its sufficient for us Surrey-ites
It crosses all boarders, all cultural lines
yet this Mercy is so personally mine!
you can't be too black, or too white
you can't be too simple or too wise
you can't be too young or too old
you can't be too sinful or too stained
to be excluded from this Mercy
It's unwarranted
It can't be merited
It can't be earnt
It can't be learnt
I can't own it
I can't loan it
yet I can stand in the fullness of it
and feel the power of it
and enjoy the benefit
of your AMAZING MERCY
Mercy that was shown to Adam and Eve
Is available right now to us who believe
That mercy available to slave and free
has the most extraordinary capacity
to rescue the lives of you and me
And this is not some lottery
for the holders of the ticket of 143
Its available now to set you free
It rescued Daniel from the Lion's den
it rescued David when he sinned AGAIN
it swallowed Jonah whole in the depths of the sea
it invited Zaccheus down from a tree
it was the last chance for the woman with bleeding
it was mercy that provided manna for feeding
it is mercy that stretches to the depths of depravity
to the sin I have done and has been done to me
and when I imagine the eyes and the blood stained face
of your son on a cross in that Golgotha place
I struggle to understand comprehensively
The lengths God would go to, to extend Mercy to me
His mercy was, is and will be enough
enough for you enough for me
it has complete and utter accessibility
not dependent on ability
and guess what friends
if that was not enough............
