I am reading a biography of Smith Wigglesworth this week. Wigglesworth the complete story by Julian Wilson.. He died in 1947 having lived much of his life in Bradford, England.
Inspiring stuff. I am struck by a number of things:
His prayer-life: all night "tarry meetings" and praying for individuals, sometimes for hours.
His simple, uneducated life.
His devotion to his wife Polly.
His desire to lead someone to Christ every day.
The amazing miracles that accompanied his ministry.
His compassion for the poor (including his very own Kids Club)
All of the above whilst being a plumber. (You don't need to be in "full-time Christian ministry" to bear fruit)
Find out about him - it is worth it.
