A Time for Everything ...

This week is Time. It is Time to clear out The Beacon church building. Having now signed the contract with the builders we are clearing out the old to make way for the new. The builders come at the end of March.
Yesterday it was Time for my filing cabinet. There was 15 years of work and filing in that cabinet. There is a time to file and a time to throw out. Most of it went on the bonfire - old Wedding Order of Services, letters of complaint and thanks, out of date documents, sermons, lots of memories .... Some however was too precious to throw away, like the letter written in 1996 by someone convinced that The Beacon building would need re-doing to house the Monday-Saturday ministries whilst the church met somewhere big on Sundays elsewhere in the centre of town. 14 years later ... it is coming to pass. Amazing.
