Meanwhile in Poland...

I hadn't really thought about the impact of the crisis in Ukraine on its neighbours until I received this from a Polish friend: "There is a red alert in Poland. There are cyber attacks on banks. It is not safe to work on your lap top. The police and army are everywhere. Normal school lessons are cancelled. The children are learning about evacuation, gas masks and basic military training. My seven year old neice is learning how to put on a gas mask! It is noisy with so many planes and jets flying overhead. People are hearing about Ukraine, but not about Poland. I am very worried." This is all seems very close.
