Parenting Adult Children - Prayer
There is a strong desire within parents to help. A desire to fix it. To step in. It is in us. We can't help it. We have done it all their lives. To find a way through for them. To defend them. To protect them. Give the answers. To provide. Now they have left home. They don't need us so much. They may not call much. But they are still in need. Still vulnerable. It is right that we take a step back for them to find their own way. To make their own decisions.
But it is still time to Pray.
We might be far away, He is close. We might not be near to guide. He is. We are not there to protect. He is.
Praying for our children is still powerful. On your own as a single parent or with your spouse, prayer changes things, changes them, changes us.
Wonderfully, mysteriously, powerfully God acts when parents pray for their children. Even when they are big...
