When Leaders Fall...

Several people have spoken to me recently about the news of leaders falling. There seems to have been quite a few. It is heart breaking, dissappointing, confusing. Trust is broken. Questions are raised. What should our response be? We don't know the whole story. We don't know what else was going on...pressure, stress, depression,... Expectation of leaders is very high, especially for those in high profile. Pray for them, for their devastated families. Leadership is emotionally demanding. Keep filling your tank. Examine our own lives. Are we in good, healthy, accountable, loving relationships? Are our relationships appropriate? Are we looking at stuff we should not? Are we being open with our partner about everything? Ask the hard questions of each other. Forgive. Remember His mercy and grace shown to you. Pray for ourselves that we don't fall. Look to Jesus. Men and women will let us down. Jesus will not - our ultimate leader.
