Highlights of Commission Prayer & Fasting...

Always a highlight in my diary...praying with friends for 2 days. I probably appreciate it more post-covid when we could not meet. Prayer and Fasting is when 150 church leaders from Commission gather to pray in Woking. Normally there is a theme for each session, then a break. Day 1 began with a thoughtful reflection from John Groves on the apostle Paul's leter to the Thessalonians. We prayed for the new look UK Team (Guy & Heather, Steve & Jo, Tim & Liz, Chris & Jo,), then Natalie Williams, author of 4 books and CEO of Jubilee + led us praying for the nation, the poor and the churches. Day 2 saw us praying for Spain, Portugal and Italy with videos on the big screen from leaders in those countries. We also heard encouraging Gospel stories from around the country. The finale was a challenging talk from Guy & Heather on the discipline of regular personal Prayer & Fasting.
