The Magnificent Seven on Sunday

Not the movie, the baptisms. On Sunday we baptised 7 people, 6 of them men. Newbury Baptist Church kindly lent us their building for the afternoon. They have a big, warm baptistry for full immersion baptisms. Seven stories of finding Jesus, sins forgiven and starting a new life: a 10 year old girl, a block paver, an estate agent, 2 landscape gardeners, a student and a taxi driver. One of the special elements was the children gathering around the pool watching their dads being baptised. Magnificent.
