Mark's Highlights of the Bethel European Leaders Conference.

Harrogate in Yorkshire is a very nice town. I had not been there before. It is a long drive from Berkshire but it was worth it for the grandly named Bethel European Leaders Advance Conference. The conference centre is very comfortable, which helps when you are spending a lot of time there. I enjoyed listening to Bill Johnson and his notable one-liners (see below); Randy Clarke told a lot of stories; Heidi Baker was amazing. She is not everyone's favourite speaker but her passion for God, her prayer life and her love for the children and young prostitutes in Mozambique is stunning. She has some penetrating things to say about European leaders and church culture. Ouch. Yinka shared the wonderful news from Reading (Berkshire!); Pete & Kim Carter were very helpful in their session - Creating a Supernatural Culture. All the speakers shared a real sense that God is about to do something amazing in Europe...
