The story of the broken foot

Well, I am wearing a big boot. I am also on crutches. I have broken my foot playing 5 side football. On Monday nights I play football with a group of dads from the estate where I live. This week, I went for a ball with a guy bigger and younger than me. I lost. Ouch. West Berkshire Community Hospital have been great, as have the Royal Berkshire Hospital (curiously, where I was admitted aged 5!). The ligament damage is yet to be ascertained, but it is far to say that I will not be playing football again anytime soon. Time to reflect...
