Diary of a Church Planter - loneliness

Many Church Planters suffer from it. They wont shout about it. They will feel it. If you ask them they will tell you about it. It comes in waves. More pronounced at the beginning. But we all get it from time to time (especially extroverts) - loneliness. Most church planters have left a good thriving church with lots of friends. Many have left family members behind. Great faith. Great adventure. It is. Now in a small setting and a new place sometimes the church planter in quiet moments can feel a little isolated. A bit lonely. Part of the price. But an opportunity too - to reach out to new neighbours, to make new friends, build a new community whilst not forgetting to call an old friend...
