Highlights of Commission Prayer June 2015

There were 5 of us from Newbury who went to Commision Prayer. One of the highlights is definitely seeing friends and praying with friends. Some of those friends, like Boggles Harty who leads the church in Guildford, I have known for 34 years - scary! It is great to be with friends who have walked a similar path in the Newfrontiers family for decades. It is also great to make new friends like Dave and Amber who lead the church in Eastleigh. Dave is running a 100 mile race this weekend! We spent time praying through some of the values of Commission churches and the burden that Guy Miller (who leads Commission) has on has heart - Knowing, Sowing, Growing. We also prayed for the occupants of one of the cars travelling from the church in Woking which was involved in a serious accident on the M3. Mercifully, even though the car landed up up-side-down on the hard shoulder the only injury sustained was one broken arm. This time around I particularly enjoyed how Guy had asked different people to lead the sessions. A great day.
