Lessons I have learnt church planting. Team.

After deciding on a Place, church planting requires a Team. It is best not to church plant on your own. Build Team. This may take time but is an important formative time for a potential church plant. This may even be a deal breaker. If a team does not form and gel over an agreed period of time it may be better to pull stumps. Hopefully however over time, with prayer and good communication plus apostolic support, a church planting team can be formed. Most likely this will gather around a good recognised leader or key couple - a vital ingredient for a healthy and successful church plant. The leader or couple should be godly, personable, hospitable with clear vision and values. They do not have to be multi-gifted themselves but good at drawing the best out of others. Key question: will the team members blend both together and into the culture of the identified place?
