One week on with Bev in NZ

Beverley has gone to New Zealand to see her dad. He lives in Tauranga with Ruth, his second wife. Bev's mum died shortly before we were married. I skyped Bev yesterday - she had been reading a book on the sun lounger in the garden. This after having been to the open-air jazz festival and having an ice-cream on the beach. Tough. Meanwhile the heating is still on in the LS house as we endure the coldest Easter since the ice-age; the dog is still alive and Tom and I did the supermarket shop today and bought 4 cartons of chocolate milk (it was on offer so I saved money...!) - not sure I would get away with that with Bev at home so I came home and vacumed to assuage my conscience and loose the calories I had just put on . The house is much quieter and I am sleeping really well.
