The changing face of Small Groups

Small Group life within the church is important. In Small Groups people get to know one another and make meaningful relationships. You can share your heart, ask for help, pray, offer advice, assistance in Small Group. In Small Group your can be yourself. Its OK to ask questions in Small Group. You can express yourself in Small Group. You can eat together, laugh together, go out together, watch football together...pray together. Lots happens in Small Group that can't on a Sunday Big Group.
Small Groups however can also become stale, lose their zip or just trundle along without real purpose - that is why we are having a re-think about Beacon Small Groups. What is going well, what is not? Who are the gifted leaders, who might be new leaders, who might like a change? What is the purpose of Small Groups in the church? Do we need to change the shape of Small Groups and create new ones? Change is good, it can also be unsettling...
