Football as a vehicle for mission in Kenya
In June players from Beacon FC are going on a mission to Kenya. Edward Buria has invited a team to go and play an exhibition match in Meru against Kambakia Christian Fellowship FC who have been promoted to the national league. The team from Camberley will then help coach youngsters. I am delighted to report that this Sunday generous members of The Beacon provided 2 new football kits (home and away) for their Kenyan opponents. As the cost for each player going to Kenya is £900 however there is still plenty of opportunity to sew into mission and help sponsor the team. Many of the lads going are on low wage or apprentice wages. You may not be keen on football but we are all called to mission.
