Now and again you meet a hero - someone who has done something brave or courageous who you admire. This week at a conference in Turkey I met lots of heroes - men and women who are living out the gospel in unwelcoming or dangerous situations. Some have uprooted family to go and learn a language and culture and live amongst a people far away from a comfy life in the UK. Chris and Fredicke are such a couple - heroes who have gone and lived with their children in a remote land to love the local people; Andy and Jess have gone with their 4 children to live in a foreign land; Rob Glover and his wife have moved to China to place children from orphanages into families - so far 250,000 children have found a loving home! The programme has been so successful that other Asian governments have asked them to do the same.
From Camberley too we have sent heroes to Malawi (Rob & Davina + 4 children), Cambodia (Colin & Rachel + 4 children), Turkey (Jenny Bartlett, single grandmother) and Mollie to Uganda.
