I took my time today. I decided on an unhurried early autumn walk with the dog across Barossa Common. So often it seems it is more like a quick charge to the woods to exercise the dog.
Today was worthy of a bit more time - like a good meal or a glass of fine wine.
A studious look at a work of art.
A stroll to savour.
Soft ground underfoot.
The morning sky sunny and bright.
No wind. Blue.
Squirrels hurrying across fir cone-lined branches, dodging nuthatches competing for winters gorge.
Spiders webs, heavy laden with morning dew cupped and waiting expectantly for sleepy insects.
Long brown grasses stretching skywards or kissing with the faintest breeze.
All around autumns dazzling pallet.
A walk of art.
