Gary Grant from The Entertainer at Alpha Supper

Gary Grant was the guest speaker at our Alpha Supper last night. He was fantastic. He told his story from leaving school with one O level to buying his first shop in Amersham, calling it The Entertainer -  to now having 70 toy shops across the UK and another 10 opening in the next 10 weeks. He also told of the dramatic encounter with God one night on his first visit to church and the impact his faith has had upon his business - no Sunday Trading, no Halloween or Harry Potter merchandise and tithing his income. Compelling stuff. We decided to run Alpha with 4 local Anglican churches which is great fun. I am delighted to say that my dear friends Paul and Anne joined us for supper too.
