I have just returned from Prayer & Fasting. What a great time! Great to be in the presence of God. Great to not be leading a meeting! Great to hear the news of what God is doing around the churches and around the nations.
I guess the biggest news concerns Terry & Wendy Virgo's move from Brighton to Kingston (London not Jamaica!). For more information about their journey read Terry's blog. It was powerful and emotional as Terry shared how God has lead them to such a place. I am impressed that at 70 years of age Terry & Wendy are still going for it in God and prepared to make a big move at considerable personal cost.
It was also good to hear (and see) news of the developing web suite of Newfrontiers web sites, including the theological forum :
www.whatyouthinkmatters.org and the www.everythingconference.org
I was also impressed by Simon Brown moving to Cambodia and Phil Whitall moving to Stockholm amongst others. Great adventure, great faith, great cost.
One of the other highlights was having Bob Roberts speak on the Tuesday evening. He is an impressive Texan who has church totalling 15,000 in Dallas and also having planted 200 other churches. Such dynamism for the gospel was very challenging.
It will take me sometime to digest all that was said ...
