I think we all long for the kind of Sunday like we had this week - when God is in the house.There was such a tangible sense of the presence of God (even in a school sports hall!). So many words from God. So many people contributing. So many scriptures read, then a change of plan - no sermon but an extended Bible reading with musical accompaniment instead. Awesome.
I think Sunday will always be one of those Sundays we will always remember.
I am reminded of 2 Chronicles 5:14
"The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the LORD filled the Temple of God".
Let's enjoy more Sundays like that but also continue to enjoy His presence on our own, in Small Group and to take His presence with us because:
"For we are the temple of the living God", 2 Corinthians 6:16
There was a time when the People of God had to go to the temple to expereince God's presence. Many today think that God is to be found in a church building. Happily, because of Jesus we all have access to the Father and He dwells in us by His Holy Spirit.
What is more awesome - A Sunday such as we just had or the truth that God lives in you by His Spirit?!
