Having been in pain for days I knew I had to see the dentist. A doctor friend confirmed this. Never an exciting prospect. I was unprepared for him saying that the offending wisdom tooth should come out. Now. 2 injections, an x-ray, some grinding, twisting and pulling, 4 sutures and 30 minutes later he showed me the bloodied tooth - with some bone!
Feeling faint I was given time to recover and a glucose something. Apparently, my blood sugar and blood pressure level had dropped. Something to do with adrenaline and shock and that I had eaten no lunch?
2 days on I am still in pain, temperature fluctuating, unable to speak and finding it hard to swallow. Hard to do anything actually, except resume the foetal position. My face is swollen and the bruising is coming out. I am communicating with the family via a note pad.
Andrew has stepped in to preach in my place on Sunday.
I am thinking about the verse:
"In everything gives thanks for this is the will of God".

Hope you feel better soon Mark.
I've just stumbled across your blog from a blog from a blog.
It's great to find you on blogspot. I always associate you with my many happy memories of Stoneleigh Bible Week - and of course Stoneleigh FM.
