Brighton Conference (Part 1)
Day 2 of the Conference is drawing to a close. The highlight for me has been Terry Virgo speaking from Ehesians 6 and putting on the armour of God - one of the series of 3 he is doing whilst here. This session, with all the others, will be avilable as a free download quite soon. It is so helpful being reminded by Terry of the battle we are in, as Christians, each day and how we can be effective by deliberately putting on the armour that God provides. I particularly liked Terry's description of the Roman centurains shield and how it was plunged into water to soak the leather so that fiery arrows would be extinguished on impact. Great stuff!
The worship is fantastic. Worshipping God in a big crowd - 4,000, with Phatfish leading or Evan Rogers is a thrill.
One of the other fun things is bumping into so many old friends from around the world. It is inspiring to see what God has done with them and where he has taken them.
Oh, I am also making a TV programme today ...
