Boys Night In

Last night my sons and I had a Boys Night In. We made popcorn, curled up together and watched a movie - The Book Of Eli (15). It is very good. Without giving the plot and twists away it is set in a post-nuclear, post-apcalyptic, bleak and brutal world. The Film has a Mad Max meets The Matrix feel with Denzel Washington as the hugely impressive hero. The language is strong, the fight sequences well-choreographed, the photography mesmerising and unique but it is The Book and the meaning and power of The Book which remain lingering long after the film has finished. What is this book and why is it so powerful?
If you are looking for a good, thought-provoking Boys Night In with some interesting Bible passages thrown in watch The Book of Eli. Easy-watching it is not, but powerful it is.
