Father's Day (Part 2) - Teenagers

I love teenagers. I love having teenage children. I love their friends coming round. I love talking to them, watching them grow and develop and I enjoy watching them explore their world. I love learning from them. I even enjoy being told how embarrassing and uncool I am!
In parenting teenagers I am learning:

-Talk to them about everything - they are exploring everything.
-Talk to them about relationships.
-Talk to them about their changing bodies.
-Talk to them about their friends, their worries, their concerns.
-Talk to them about school. Help with homework.
-Take an interest in the things they are interested in, including their music.
-Do you know which web sites they are visiting?
-Do you know who they are talking to online?
-Teach them about money, bank accounts, saving and budgeting.
-Keep affirming them and encouraging them.
I read recently that in the average school day each child will receive 8-10 negative comments directed at them. Let's make sure home is an antidote and a place of building - up.
-Encourage them to read - books!
-Keep praying for them.
-Let's love our teenagers!
