Somewhere in Greece!

I am sitting in a Greek airport waiting for my flight home to the UK as I write this. I have been attending and speaking at a conference for church leaders from the Middle East and Europe. Many of their stories are both humbling and remarkable. One has just been released from prison for beiing an active Christian, another has had a 12 hour interogation ordeal at an airport; another I spoke to today endured 5 years seprated from his wife and young family whilst interned; whilst another has recently recovered from injuries sustained risking all crossing a highly dangerous border.
My blog can not do credit to the courage on display in these guys. Their persevering faith in the face of real danger, opposition and persecution is amazing. Not only that, but they remain so full of joy in the midst of diffculty. What an example.
I was amazed last Sunday and I am amazed this Sunday for very different reasons.
