In memory of Keith Butcher

Keith Butcher "Butch" was a very well known Newbury character. He coached football to hundered of boys and gorls in the area. He was also the caretaker of Speenhamland School and Trinity School. This meant he is known by thousands of people in the area. He was also my neighbour. He lived 2 doors down. He was loud, funny, interesting and possessed a prodigious memory for the children he had coached and taught. He seemed to remember all of them. Parents throughout West Berkshire have got used to Keith asking after the children by name. He genuienly cared and took an interest in everyone. And remembered. His funeral is 12th February 1.00pm at Thatcham crem. It will be packed. He was loved so much by so many. Let us all learn the life lesson of keith by making time for people. He showed us how.
