What I learnt on a Leadership Anxiety day

I am still processing the helpful day which was held at Welcome Church Woking and lead by Steve Cuss. I learnt we all carry levels of anxiety and stress (family, relationships, money, health, work, house, irrational...). Owning it and confessing it are first steps to managing it. Name it and Tame it is one of Steve's mantras. He is very easy to listen to with a winsome vulnerability. What does your inner critic say? was an uncomfortable moment... Budget and calendar those things that are Life Giving to you helps combat anxiety. One of our group excercises was to share what we had written. There were the usual ones - a good meal, a country walk, time with your spouse...one guy on our table wrote a glass of cognac with a cigar at the end of the day! We were encouraged to be playful and whimsical and remember the power of being curious. The Word of God helps of course: "set your heart at rest in His presence" 1 John 3:19 Very helpful day day. The website is good too: https://capablelife.me/join/
