Book Review: The Sound of a Trumpet by Peter & Barbie Reynolds
This is a great book. It is the sweeping story of the remarkable Peter and Barbie. Living in one of the worlds most dangerous cities requires extraordinary courage and this couple have it. The reader encounters answers to prayer that may make the reader want to pray. There are inspiring examples of the power of God at work that make the reader want to draw close to Him. There is pain. Hard hitting, perplexing, no-sense pain. The honesty and rawness of dealing with pain (the death of family members) is one of the lingering strengths of the book. Readers will enjoy the international vistas, insights into Afhanistan, India and Pakistan, the compelling story of Bath City Church, or help in understanding the big plan of God. Most will find how this couple deal honestly with grief to be the most powerful and lasting.
