Highlights of BBG (Big Bridge Getaway)

We have just had a week end away as a church. We went to Milton Abbey in Dorset. It was great. New people came, including 2 Ukrainian families who loved it and 2 new South African families. There were games, activities, a swimming pool, tennis court and an abbey - wow - what a place to worship God together (we had a late night session - very atmospheric). Nobody had to worry about camping or cooking. All provided for (it is a boarding school). We had guest speakers: Chris & Catherine Kimbangi from Hope Church Guildford who served us brilliantly looking at the book of Ruth. No one will forget Chris's story of arriving as a boy refugee from a war-torn country... A real highlight was time together. Unhurried time together. I loved seeing people chat over meal times, on the lawn with tea and cake. Just chatting. Especially after Covid we needed that. Just great.
