What a great day! 4 very good sessions on leadership, packed with thoughtful material.
This was a Commission Leaders Day this week in Winchester. Session 1 The Leader's Secret Life by Guy Miller. A clarion call to personal prayer. Session 2 Leadership Transition by Adrian Birks. A very helpful challenge to plan transition and succession early. Session 3 Tim Blaber on Raising Leaders, speaking from Acts 20 in The Bible on how the apostle Paul raised elders and leaders, with some great anecdotes on the musical notes of discipleship. Session 4 Eireanor on How to Spot Leaders, with helpful insights from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and how the brain works. So helpful. I have returned with a full notebook, a full mind and a full heart. Great day.
So good to part of a family of churches that takes equipping leaders so seriously.
