3 broken-hearted men,1 answer

In the last 3 days I have spent time with 3 remarkable men. They have all been disappointed, let down, crushed. Their story might be unremarkable or remarkable given your point of view. The first has a story of shock and pain on receiving an email, at work, from his wife telling him she was leaving him for a friend. In that moment his world fell apart. The second man also was crushed, twice. His first wife left him, his second wife betrayed him. Both men could have chosen the way of bitterness, resentment and hatred. Instead, they have chosen God-given grace and forgiveness in monumental fashion. Both have recently re-married. Then there is Graham whose wife died after 30 years together. Boom. "I choose not to sink into self-pity", he says; "each day I spend time with the Lord, make a plan, see friends...it is in worship it hits me - where grief and love collide." Remarkable men, wonderful Saviour.
