Highlights of the Bill Johnson conference

13 of us from The Beacon went to the Bill Johnson conference Glory to Glory hosted at North Kent Community Church. This week he is speaking in Harrogate. Bill Johnson leads a growing church in Redding California - Bethel. He is well-known for his prophetic ministry and the supernatural happenings at the church in California - many testify to healings and miracles. I thought Bill was very good. Very good indeed. He is clever, listenable, full of a deep commitment to both The Bible and the Holy Spirit: "I believe it all, even the maps", he says with a smile. He has plainly studied the life and teaching of Jesus for years. He is full of great one-liners which leave you wanting an explanation: "God will hide things for you not from you...your fulfilled desires are to His glory...you cannot exaggerate God's goodness..." He also has great faith for the sick to be healed (16 people testified to their ears popping open who had been hard of hearing.) and loves his family - he speaks of them often. Oh, he is also much funnier than I thought. For those of us old enough to remeber Bill Johnson reminds me very much of John Wimber. If you get a chance listen to any message of Bill Johnson: http://podcasts.ibethel.org/en/podcasts/worship-and-the-presence
