Day 1 of life with Bev in NZ

Beverley has gone to New Zealand to see her dad for his 80th birthday. She has gone for 18 days with her brother Matt. We are not used to being apart for long periods. We have been preparing mentally for 10 months of course since we booked. Many folk have enquired as to how I will cope... Well, it is only Day 1 but so far, the dog is still alive, dinner is cooked by a stunningly competent daughter, the kitchen is relatively clear and clean and I enjoyed a good nights sleep spreading out in the bed. The house is a little quieter, I can watch what I like on the TV and the days sewing and croqueting is not strewn around the lounge... So far so good.
