We have another ritual in my home. A ritual I am not entirely comfortable with but a ritual initiated by living with teenagers so I reluctantly acquiesce - on Monday evenings at 9.00pm we now all watch Glee together. For those of you not familiar with Glee it is a bit like High School Musical on hormones and steroids. I like the singing and dancing. I do not like the overt sexuality and the whizzing moral compass. It is very popular with 2 Glee actors winning at the Golden Globes this month.
People who watch Glee are called Gleeks. (That may not be true- I made that bit up!)
This week was interesting however. It was about God - is there one? How do we approach Him? Should we pray? Does He answer prayer? Why are some prayers not answered?
I have to admit, on balance, it was well done and included disappointment, judgementalism, respect for others belief (or unbelief) and going to church. There was also some great (gospel) songs. Maybe I am a Gleek afterall.
