Anatomy of the mouth

It is amazing isn't it how we take for granted most of our bodily functions until something breaks down? The splinter, the stubbed toe, back ache all remind us of the value of that bodily part. I have a new appreciation of the workings of my jaw since my mouth op (see below) - how important my jaw is to eating, speech, balance, yawning, sleep, teeth, kissing and so on.
I also discovered today whilst walking how foot vibrations travel through the skeletal system into the jaw! I have never noticed jaw vibration whilst walking - I do now!
I am much better now though; sleeping better, beginning to speak and able to open my mouth wider to eat. Phew.
Thanks God for jaws and our amazing bodies.
