Bev and I went to Carroty Wood this week. Carroty Wood is an adventure centre set in beautiful grounds in Kent, UK. www.rockuk.org/centres/carroty-wood.
As a Newfrontiers family of churches in the region we take a large group of children there each year for adventure, lots of fun, great friendships and encounters with God. I was so impressed by what I saw. The venue is brilliant and to see our children doing various memory-making activities: high-ropes, go-karting, abseiling, making cool stuff ... was great. I am also really impressed by the excellent team of 82 leaders serving our children many of whom have taken a week off work to serve at Carroty Wood. We have sent 11 leaders from Camberley. I am particularly impressed by the cooks in the lodges each catering for 70-80 children and leaders. What a Team!
The afternoon meeting was very moving as 20 children stood to commit their lives for the first time to Christ in a relaxed, no pressure environment.
Please keep praying for them this week. They will return home on Saturday tired, not too dirty - as they have a swimming pool on site, full of great memories and bathed in the Holy Spirit.
