We had a great w\e at Butlins at Bognor - 90 of us from The Beacon Church and 3,000 altogether from other Newfrontiers churches in London and the Home Counties. The church did a great job serving in leading worship for the adults and children's ministry particularly.
Steve Tibbert and David Stroud spoke on the Glory of Christ and the Message of Christ respectively whilst Dave Devonish was his irrepressible self bringing to life 2 events in the life of Christ. In concluding on Saturday evening he also brought an unexpected public prophetic word for "the church in Camberley .... a fork in the road ... do not be distracted...keep pressing on with your plans into great fruitfulness" !
For me the stark challenge came to reach, make friends with and include more of those from ethnic and diverse social backgrounds - rather like Jesus who was so good at reaching all kinds of different people.
