My best 3 books of 2021

I am not an avid reader compared to some - about 25 books a year. But I have read 3 very good and very different books that I have returned to: 1. The Body by Bill Bryson. Totally fascinating with all kinds of facts and figures about what your body is doing right now even as you read this. The chapter on the endocrine system wasa total revelation. I have a whole new appreciation of the wonders of my body. How to Pray by Pete Grieg. Totally accessible to anyone - starting out exploring God or having been a follower of Jesus for decades this book helps. "Keep it simple, keep it real, keep it up" is one of the many helpful tips. Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortland. Mike Pilavachi said this was the best book he had ever read. Sam Albury said "one of the best". They are right. Better to be read slowly and thoughtfully. "What you think about God is the most important thing about you". Boom. Treat yourself or someone you care about...
