Bridge Church: Hugging, Handshakes and Masks...

To mask or not to mask? To hug or not to hug? That and many more are the questions... The general Covid culture of Bridge Church remains to follow government guidelines and to continue to create a atmosphere of caution and respect. To that end, there is no rule at Bridge church about mask wearing. Some people will wear a mask, others will not. Either is fine. There is no judgement. For meetings in people's homes it is courteous to ask which the home-owner prefers. There is no hugging rule except to say do not make assumptions that everyone is comfortable with a hug. Bridge church is not going down the red, amber, green wristband, button or sash of some churches (because the pastor is colour-blind!). Ask before hugging. Similarly, do not assume about handshakes or kissing...caution and respect. Respect personal space. Sunday physical meetings look different now: chairs and people spread out, windows open (bring a jacket!), small groups scattered, sanitiser around, some with masks. What you can do is say lots of good things, smile a lot, be engaging and present, encourage each other. Most of all worship with all your heart with masks off at last (if you like!).
