Covid Psychology 3: Feeling Emotionally Thin...?
As we continue with Lockdown 3.0 are you feeling Emotionally Thin? Not quite right? A bit low? Not quite so resilient? More sensitive than normal? Just not yourself? Lost your va va voom...? Well, congratulations - join a large and growing club! Many of us are feeling emotionally thin. Lock down, loss of freedoms and normal routines, not going to work, furlough and most of all loss of physical contact with others depletes us. Even introverts are struggling! A year of Covid is taking its toll.
We are made for community. We are highly social beings, meant for relationship and regular interaction. It feeds us. Take that away, stir in a hefty dose of Corporate Grief and we may well feel emtionally thin.
The good news is the end is in sight. The good news is also a conversation with a friend or family member today (or a walk) may well be the boost you need...
