What is wrong with Netlix's Messiah?

I have read the reviews. Quite scathing. I have heard of the complaints and the petitions against the series. In fact, quite a brouhaha over the new Netflix series Messiah. So I thought I would look at it myself and decide, with some trepidation I have to say. Now, I have only seen the first two episodes but I am relieved. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the premise of: what would it be like if Jesus returned and performed miracles? Sure enough, some would follow Him, others would be suspicious, religious leaders upset and ultimately want to kill Him. The CIA would track him.
I enjoyed the English, Arabic, Jewish dialogue (with sub-titles). I enjoyed the heady, complex mix of Middle Eastern geo-politics; and the question raised - who is he? Will I watch episode three? I will. I  think there are plenty of other things to get upset about on Netflix rather than Messiah.
