Book Review: Through by Steve Chick

Steve Chick leads Hope Church Winchester. He has written a book about the cries of Jesus whilst hanging on the cross. It is very good. So are the pictures. Through refers to the hope we have through those cries. Steve successfully combines Biblical and historical truth with personal stories, anecdotes and quotes. The illustrations of how redwood trees weave their roots together to support each other; the power in the word telelestai - "it is finished"; the typology of the 2 angels in the garden on Resurrection Day; Aslan's "There is no other Stream" in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, will stay long in the memory (hopefully!). A very good Easter read.
